The 11th Japan-Korea-China Conference on Measurement was held on 21 September at Shinagawa Curian event hall. JMIF co-organized the event with JAMP (Japan Association for Metrology Promotion).
The objective of the seminar, which is held every two years in rotation, is to exchange information on measurement system and calibration system of each country. The number of participants attended the seminar was 112.
The seminar consisted of three keynote presentations by Mr. YOSHIOKA Katsuhiko, Director, Metrology Policy Office from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Mr. PARK, Byeong Chan, vice president of KASTO; Mr. ZHANG Yiqun, Deputy Director General, AQSIQ and technical presentations by experts from each country.
Questions such as the status quo of deregulations in Chinese measurement system, the government policy regarding the commercial NAWI monitoring system and promotion activities for revision of SI units were asked to presenters and the heated discussion lasted nearly 30 minutes.
After the seminar, the welcome party was held and participants deepened exchanges.
The Chinese and Korean delegates was invited to the technical tour to Hakone.
The next seminar will be held in China in 2019.
