The 15th Japan-China Metrology Regulatory Conference was held on 27 November 2018 in Beijing, China.
Since 1983, JMIF has built a cooperative relationship with Chinese Society for Measurement, Chinese Metrology Association and AQSIQ (currently, State Administration for Market Regulation SAMR) and has held a meeting once-every-two-years.
JMIF delegate consisting of 11 participants attended the conference. Chinese counterparts talked about the restructuring of the organization and revised Chinese Metrology Act. JMIF explained about verification of automatic weighing instruments starting soon. The future cooperative activities between Japan and China were also discussed.
Taking this opportunity, environmental survey and a company visit was conducted by JMIF Environmental Committee, with themes of Chinese-version RoHS and Environmental policies. The JMIF delegate visited the environmental ministry, NIM and a Chinese company to have a discussion with people concerned and catch up with the status quo on these matters in China.
