The 12th Japan-Korea-China Conference on Measurement and related events were held on 24 September in Chengdu, China. JMIF participated in the events hosted by Chinese Society for Measurement (CSM) with JAMP (Japan Association for Metrology Promotion).
The objective of the seminar, which is held every two years in rotation, is to exchange information on measurement and calibration systems of each country. The number of participants attended the seminar was 122.
The seminar started from opening remarks by Mr. ZHANG Yiqun, Deputy Director General, SAMR, Mr. TANIDA Senri, President of Tanita Corporation and Mr. PARK Byeong Chan, vice president of KASTO, followed by 11 technical presentations by experts from three countries.
After the seminar, the welcome party was held and participants deepened exchanges.
The Japanese and Korean delegates were invited to the technical tour in Chengdu, including the visit to NIMTT (National Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology.
The next seminar will be held in Korea in 2021.
